The purpose of this session is to provide a practical and simple overview of how the intellectual property system works in Mexico.

Advertising. Regulatory Framework.
The main purpose of this session is to explore and learn about the various laws, regulations and other rules that govern advertising in Mexico, addressing some of the following issues:

Truthfulness, verifiability, no exaggeration, no misleading content

Comparative advertising
-
Advertising promotions, contests, etc.

Social media and influencers advertising
-
Specific regulations (food, beverages, etc.)


Image. Regulation and problems
Technological development not only provides a greater quantity or distribution of images, but also allows new ways of producing and using them, which affects the way individuals and organizations see, see themselves, and are seen.

At a time when “visibilization” has been proposed as an efficient strategy to address different types of problems, image is also gaining a relevant role.
​
All of the above represents challenges to the legal frameworks, thus the purpose is to take a look at the relationship between law and image.
IP & AI
Although it was created and developed before the 1990s, Artificial Intelligence is a topic that has gained great relevance in our times. It has been pointed out that this technology will touch practically all areas of life and will have a great impact on humanity. In order to try to demonstrate the great development that has been achieved in this field, it is commonly alluded the fact that this type of technology is already capable of making artistic creations and inventions, capabilities that were considered exclusively reserved for the human intellect.

Based on the above, this talk pursues to generate a reflection on the current state of artificial intelligence by exploring its impact on concepts such as authorship and invention, as well as in various creative fields.


Design to Law
It is a series of lectures that explore and reflect on the relationship between the field of law and design, addressing topics such as:

Legal treatment of design.

Author design, author or designer?

Design as right. Reasons to have a good design.

Originality, inspiration, appropriation and disappropriation.

Use, protection and defense of designs.
Copyright and Gender
Generally, when we think of an author, we think of a person who creates artistic works that are the product only of his talent or genius, but if we look at this concept from a gender perspective, we can see that we generally attribute a male gender to this figure.

In this way, the talk pretends to generate a critical reflection on the concept of "author", addressing different positions of thought that question the same.

Advocacy & Inclusion
One of the objectives of the legal profession is the construction of a more just and egalitarian society, but paradoxically it is considered one of the professions in which there is a greater dynamic of discrimination.
​
The aim of this session is to look at certain data that reflect the state of the profession, the problems that people from sectors considered as "minorities" face when entering the profession, and to generate a dialogue that allows us to imagine possible alternative solutions.
Legal Entrepreneurship
Far from seeking to commercialize the practice of the legal profession, the aim of this session is to create a space for reflection where different business models that maintain the construction of the rule of law, the contribution to the generation of an egalitarian society as guiding principles, among others, can be conceived .

AI in Today’s Legal Sector
A journey that starts with the basic concepts and chronology of artificial intelligence, up to its application in the legal sector.
